UV STERILISER AS 2.0 is a device designed to improve water quality and clarity in aquaria. It is an effective tool in combating the effect of green and cloudy water. It reduces or even eliminates the need for water purification chemicals.

Operation of the AS 2.0 UV steriliser is extremely simple. Water flowing through the device is exposed to ultraviolet radiation, emitted by the filament in the sleeve. The light damages algae, bacteria and pathogens, which are mainly responsible for the murky, greenish water.

Firstly, the device housing is made of extremely durable and UV-resistant plastic. Secondly, the AS 2.0 UV steriliser is completely sealed and meets the IPX8 protection standard. This allows the device to work safely under conditions of continuous immersion in water. The device is also equipped with a switch that will automatically switch off the UV-C fluorescent lamp when the lamp housing is opened, without first disconnecting it from the power source. (Not recommended by the manufacturer!). This is particularly important from the point of view of protecting the eye, which is particularly sensitive to contact with UV radiation.

Energy efficiency  

The AS 2.0 UV steriliser is one of the few on the market equipped with an electronic reactor. It increases the life of the filament e allows significant energy savings compared to sterilisers equipped with electromagnetic reactors.

An electronically equipped lamp, such as the one used in the AS 2.0 UV steriliser, consumes up to 50% less electricity than a lamp equipped with an electromagnetic ballast.
