The active components of Coralline Accelerator are provided by a combination of elements (including natural aragonite), increasing the solubility of the solution and the effectiveness of the method. Free of silicates and phosphates.

Examples of organisms that benefit from using Coralline Accelerator are: coralline algae, stony corals and the like; molluscs including clams (bivalves) and snails (gastropods); tube worms that secrete calcareous burrows; calcareous algae such as Halimeda and Penicilus. These organisms require aragonite components to be in adequate concentrations in order to thrive, regardless of how perfect the rest of their habitat is.

The advantage of this method of supplementation is that only one product can be used to establish and maintain water parameters favourable to reef formation.

Note that in some aquaria specific supplementation of target ions may be required, depending on the population density of the organisms and the environmental conditions within the system. Coralline Accelerator can also be used in combination with other calcium, strontium, magnesium and carbonate supplementation methods as a means of diversifying their dosing routine. The rate at which calcium and carbonates are extracted from the water is determined by the population density using it, the type of lighting and other conditions; therefore, each aquarium will have different requirements for the rate of supplementation.

Instructions and guidelines:

Basic dosage:

Shake the product well before use. Add 10 ml (2 caps) of product per 190 litres of water every other day or as required to maintain the calcium concentration in a range between 412 and 450 ppm. When used in this way, 500 ml treats up to 9,450 litres.
Coralline Accelerator may temporarily cloud the water after administration, so it is recommended to administer the product late in the evening.

Advanced dosage:

determine the current calcium concentration using an accurate and reliable test.
Shake the product well before each use. Each ml of Coralline Accelerator increases the calcium concentration ("[Ca2 +]") in 3.7L) of water by approximately 20 ppm. If the initial [Ca2 +] in the aquarium is less than 412 ppm, add this product at a maximum of 20 ml per 115 litres of water daily until the desired calcium concentration is reached, then dose daily or weekly as required (see below). Always try to keep [Ca2 +] within a range of +/- 10 ppm.

EZ calculations:

Multiply the aquarium capacity in gallons (1 gallon = 3.8 litres) by the desired ppm increase and then by the coefficient 0.05047; this calculation gives the number of ml of product to be added.

Example:

To increase the calcium concentration in a 50-gallon aquarium by 2 ppm, the calculation is: 50 x 2 x 0.5047 = 5.047 ml or about one cap. (one cap is 5 ml).
