Filtro a zainetto interno per rimuovere le impurità presenti nell’ acqua che dallo scarico di un acquario finiscono nella sump: è l’evoluzione delle classiche calze filtranti.

The filter is connected to the overflow pipe that 'drops' the water from the tank into the sump; the water then passes through a membrane (wound on a roller) that wraps around the two perforated filter walls so that any impurities that may be present are retained before the water enters the sump and is then returned to the tank by the rising pump.
As the impurities clog the pores of the membrane, the water will find it increasingly difficult to pass through it until the point at which, as it can no longer pass through, its level inside the filter will rise, triggering a special float connected to a motor that will make the roll on which the membrane is wound rotate; In this way, the saturated part of the membrane will be wound on a second roll and will be replaced by a new piece that will allow the water to flow again, lowering its level until the float, once back in the OFF position, stops feeding the roller motor.

Un volta che tutti i 25 metri della membrana saranno saturi, sarà sufficiente sostituire il rullo.
