AmmoMix is an ammonium chloride mixture used to start the nitrogen cycle in new aquaria and to start biological filtration in new aquaria with inert rocks.
Method of use:
Add 1 drop per 1 litre, then Modern Reef Nitri-Bac to add nitrifying bacteria. Repeat after 3 days for 3 times or until a reading of 2 ppm NH3 (ammonium) is reached. Do not exceed 2 ppm NH3 ammonium! You can continue adding Modern Reef Nitri-Bac until the nitrite (NO2) value starts to rise. If the pH value drops below 7 during this period, carry out a water change of 25% by taking water from the top of the water column. The biological filtration activation process can take 2 to 4 weeks. When ammonium (NH3) and nitrite (NO2) are no longer detectable, the process is complete and fish can be added.
