The manufacturer informs: 

Flipper is the innovative 2in1 magnetic brush for cleaning aquarium walls; thanks to an accurate positioning of the magnets, it can be used either as a scraper (for more hostile algae) or as a brush (for less resistant algae) by simply rotating the component outside the aquarium by 180°.

The large contact surface area of the 'scrub' part allows fast and effective removal of daily algae accumulation.
It is recommended, however, to switch from the scrub to the scraper if you are going to clean a spot close to the sand in order to prevent any grains from getting stuck in the pad and thus risking scraping the glass.

To switch from scrub to scraper (and vice versa), simply move the outer part about 15 cm away from the glass; this breaks the magnetic attraction between the 2 components and this is the moment when you have to rotate the handle 180° and then bring it closer to the glass at a point close to where the inner part is.
This will create a new magnetic attraction, reversed from the previous one, which will cause the inner part to rotate on itself; you will then have switched from brush to scraper.

The supplied scraper blade is made of stainless steel; it is therefore corrosion-resistant and perfect for removing even stubborn algae from aquarium glass.

The inner part of the pinball machine rests on the glass in only three places and is spaced 3mm from the inner walls, which prevents any residue and grains of sand from getting stuck and risking damage to the glass.
