Test per la misurazione dei livelli di ammonio e ammoniaca in acquari d’acqua dolce.

L’ammoniaca (chimicamente abbreviata come NH3) è un prodotto di scarto dei pesci, che la espellono attraverso le loro branchie e la loro urina; è dannosa per tutta la vita acquatica ed quindi è molto importante mantenerne il livello pressocchè a zero.

Un contenuto ottimale di ammoniaca in tutti i tipi di acqua è semplicemente 0 mg/l. Quando l’ammoniaca è 0,5 mg/l o superiore, significa che non sono presenti sufficienti batteri e quindi è consigliabile aggiungere un attivatore batterico.
